7950 Vapor X Voltage Locked? - Page 18

Just tried the new version of trixx I linked to above and it seems to work. Could only very quickly check as im busy. I was using the none noost profile and the latest 12.8 drivers. Voltage definitely moved when I changed it in trixx but there was a bit of vdroop so it didn't match my set volts, which I guess is normal.

Hopefully someone else can test this.

1.1volts

Tested again quickly this morning and i'm definitely able to adjust voltage. I've posted proof below. I'm also able to adjust voltage in the boost bios but it jumps about a lot more because of the weird behaviour of boost. I notice that I have about a .04v droop but I guess that's normal?

Should get a chance to test everything properly later so I'll do a full update then.

Mine does the same thing at stock, however...... Try upping the clocks and playing a game or benchmark, if its like mine you will find that even though you have set the clocks higher than 850mhz they wont go higher than that.

Benchmarks run fine at the new clocks for me and show increased performance. Have you set your power control setting?
i dont think that this works with 12.9 drivers cuz it wont change my voltage
post #176 of 1056
Can you try it with 12.8?

I tried and it did not work.

the voltage won't go past 1.056 no matter how high you set it. At least that was the limit for mine.

This new version of Trixx (v4.4.0b) totally worked for me! I've got my voltage at 1.100 and I could boost it higher,

Can you please overclock your clock speed and memory.. then run a benchmark (any will do) and print screen your afterburner, showing clock speeds and voltage.. Thanks!

Im stuck at work at the mo, i could up my voltage which worked fine, however when i upped the clocks and memory no matter what speed i chose it wouldn't go past the default 850mhz. This was with the slightly older version of trixx. Will be awesome if this does work, i can have my 2nd dvi port back wheee.gif
