7950 Vapor X Voltage Locked? - Page 32

Sure it does. Go into settings and enable the sidebar gadget.

Of that yours is throttling...

My card is PN: 299-2E210-001SA and I tried to flash the new bios of PN: 299-2E210-201SA which was released earlier and it didn't work for my card. After bios update the computer didn't start and the screen just stayed blank so I flashed back the old bios. My bios version is:
015.023.000.001.00000 as the new updated bios is:
015.025.000.099.00000.
When I flashed the new bios I noticed that it had different product name. Here is picture of the bios flash back to my original. You can see the different product name there. My card have the same issues with hight vrm temps and I need to manually change pct to +20% or the card throttles back to 850MHz under heavy stress. I wonder if my version of the card will get bios update too.

Additional note: my card version seems to be somewhat odd (rare?) as for the bios GPU-Z says: 015.023.000.001.00000 (113-210P2EL-X01)
Note the -X01 at the end. I looked though many reviews about this card and they seem to be with bios ending with -V??.
Without voltage tweaking the card is stable at gpu 1050MHz but for mem even 1325MHz is too much. Card doesn't start to slow down when I increase the memory clocks (gddr5 error correction) but at some point just straight out crashes with stripes on the screen.

Yeah I am kinda disappointed about the memory and vrm temperatures. I added 14cm fan blowing straight to the card so now the vrm stays under 90C. I made a support ticket to sapphire asking when my revision (SN 299-2E210-001SA) can expect this bios update as it has the same issues as SN: 299-2E210-201SA cards had before the bios update.

I think this V01, and V02 should work with your card, but i don't know at is newer version than yours.
Just get from another guy with Vapor-x and i get blue screen with that so not for my version.
Just check temps. bioses pack.zip 83k .zip file

Nope, 1200 is like very good, 1150 is good, 1100 is average.

My max core is 1140/1150, and memory at 1450 only :/

Updated to the new BIOS. Still can't modify the voltage with Trixx. The only way to go past 1.050V is to force constant voltage with Afterburner.
Seems like the power limit is a bit higher at 0 than before.

Forced voltage 1.187V and ran 3DMark11. Max core seems to be 1275 for me. Pretty impressive, actually!

Here's the score at 1275/1400

Anyone got the voltage tweaking working without forcing constant voltage with this new bios?

Yeah, ~1100/1500 are average.

That is what I was hoping for. 1200/1800 or 1250/1900 @ 1.093-1.037 depending on app [some need more voltage??] makes mine near golden sample... not quite, but damn close tongue.gif

your voltage is damn low for 1250 core !!
