7950 Vapor X Voltage Locked? - Page 63

It appears your card is being throttled hardcore, much like mine was when I got it. So, get a new vbios and it should be performing at LEAST 50% faster. Dont forget that almost means ~50%+ more heat, too, so watch those VRM temps.

Mate so what should be used to tweak voltage?

I use MSI Afterburner with "Force constant voltage"

He's wrong about the memory voltage. According to the Hynix datasheet I read, those chips are rated at 1.5v.

Looks a bit low. What CPU do you have?

Here's mine at 1250/1975:

Your GPU scores are close but your Physics score is much higher because of your over clock and cpu.

That's what I use as well but like I said my voltage is being capped. Will try again with maybe another bios.

I don't use Afterburner for over clocking Sapphire cards. I use TRIXX. MSI Afterbuner doesn't mix right for high over clocking with my Sapphire 950mhz edition.

I woul stick with TRIXX only for Sapphire cards.

I had to force voltage with MSI AB in order to reach my core OC. Then the software can be closed.
After that, I used only Trixx to change the clocks. MSI AB made my desktop flicker if I used it to change clocks.

I use AB and all I got are Sapphire cards, only reason I use AB is because the fan control actually works properly on it, unlike on Trixx with more than one card atleast.
