Kink in my line, 60* rotary fitting the fix?

post #1 of 7

I have a kink in my line coming from the radiator to the cpu block that looks like it's cutting flow down.

Was looking through frozencpu's site and came across this 60 degree rotary barb and haven't heard about anyone using one so wanted to get the guru's of OCN's opinions since I think this would fix my problem smile.gif

I have the XSPC RASA kit, will this fitting work on the block? And are these fittings good? Never seen anything about rotary fittings before.

Also thinking about grabbing some GT 1850's and new tubing while I'm at it. How big of an improvement would GTs make over yates loon mediums?

Current tubing - this fine or is there better? Finding this stuff to not be very flexible.

EDIT: How well does the anti-kink coil stuff work?

No one?

Yeah, that fittings perfectly fine, will work with practically anything because it's G 1/4. GT's would be a definite improvement over the yates, there one of the best rad fans that doesn't sound like a jet engine.

Cool thanks for the response. Is the "G" in G 1/4 generic or something? Still new to WC. Need to look up some yates v GT on my rad here, don't really mind dropping the $15/fan but only if its a decent temp improvement; my yates aren't that loud actually smile.gif

G = external + internal parallel (ISO 228)

The terminology for the use of G originated from Germany (G for gas, as it was originally designed for use on gas pipes)

I use the 45 degree bitspower (frozenCPU) in a few different places. I'm very happy with all the bitspower stuff I've had:

I like Tygon tubing, R3603 IMO is awesome, easy to work with, flexible, only needs kink coil if you flex it too far, and kink coil compresses it well since it's nice and soft. I have some of the same pieces of R3603 in my loop that I first used in it in 2006. No evap, no problems at the fittings even after that many years of building and rebuilding.

Perfect, this is what I was looking for. Will be ordering a 45 or 60 degree here soon and probably grab tygon along with it. +rep thumb.gif

Also nice avatar; got my WRX about a year ago and love it =D
