Is this overclock stable?

Hey

I am new to overclocking and after watching/reading some guides I overclocked my cpu to 4.2ghz.
What do u guys think about the temps/voltage?

Thanks in advance!

Idle temps are useless. You need to run a stress test to find the load temps and test the stability. Prime95 is one way to do it.

Everything seems very low: Low temperatues (are those load temperatures?), low voltage, but also not very high overclock. If you want, this chip can go much higher. Otherwise it will do fine smile.gif

And your title is a bit confusing as you are the only one that can test if is stable or not. You can test this with P95, Linx and check for WHEA errors for example.

Ow ok, those are "idle" temps, gw2 was open. What overclock do u advice so i can do the stresstest (btw small FFTs, In-place large FFT's or a blend?)

Small and large FFT's should both work.

What is your cooling solution?

Try this if you have good cooling solution.

Multi 44
Load line Calibration set to very high

Vcore of around 1.26v should do the trick (still, always check stability)
Don't forget to Enter the proper Memory Timings and voltage. (Dram voltage/VCCSA/VTT)

If you have more than 8GB of Memory 1866mhz, I suggest checking for stability with memtest and prime95 Blend with full memory. If you get errors, play with Vcore VCCSA and VTT and Dram voltage.

Keep temps below 75'c (me), but if you don't care, 85'C devil.gif

PS: Don't even bother going over 3.8Ghz with Stock Cooler and stock Thermal Paste

Atm:

-Multi 44
-Load line Calibration: High (what happens if i change it to very high?)
-XMP profile (so all memory related stuff should be fine I guess)
-8GB memory at 1600mhz
-Rev. 2 Tranquillo ==> artic silver 5

Look to the max temps (I stopped prime before taking a screen... biggrin.gif)

If i open event viewer I get alot of this errors, does it mean I got to raise the v to the 1.26v u said?

If you change load line calibration to very high, it will suffer bigger voltage spikes and likely degrade faster. Only use it if your CPU isn't stable.

Ah k, atm it is stable, only those WHEA-logger errors in event viewer, do u know ho i can fix them?
Currently at 1.176v at 4.4 ghz (does it need more v to fix the error?)
