Just built this system for a friend. Thoughts?

Thread Starter
Processor: Intel Core i5 3570k
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H
Memory: G-Skill RipJaws 8GB CL9 1600
Graphics Card: Palit GTX 660 Ti JetStream 2GB
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB
Power Supply: Seasonic M12II 520w
Case: NZXT Lexa S (what a beautiful case btw)

Any suggestions on what parts I could have bought instead for a better deal?
I know an SSD would have been nice but my friend didn't like the price, and couldn't convince him.
Please don't suggest online deals because I can't buy from newegg and such.
I want to know for just reference and also for a similar build in the future for myself. (hopefully tongue.gif)

Any reason you can't buy online? I mean, if you cant buy online (or don't include prices) we can't really help you as you're tied to the price and stock that your local stores have, so you'd be best served by just walking in and looking around at what they have.

Do you at least have a MicroCenter or a Fry's nearby?

you can add a cpu cooler like enermax ETS-T40 or Coolermaster Hyper 212 or Arctic Freezer i30 for your overclocking needs on that i5 3570K

rest of the parts seems good

I can't buy online cause don't live in the US.
The prices are located here http://www.tipidpc.com/useritems.php?username=pcnetmiles
I just want to know if everything fits right in this build.

Thanks! that would be a future upgrade, is the Hyper 212 good enough for let's say about 4.5ghz overclock?

It should be able to handle it. I would pick a different case if you plan on the hyper 212 though as it requires a wider case. You might want to reconsider the lexa s. My roommate's first case was the lexa and he hated it. NZXT makes decent cases but you really pay for the flashy designs and not the quality especially with the lexa. If you really want a budget case the haf 912 is an excellent choice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233

If you want something that looks better but is still high quality I would go with the Corsair 300r. Right now you can get 10% off + free shipping until 9/13. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139016

Why did your roommate hate it? Does the hyper 212 fit in the lexa S? Yea the flashy design is what sold this case to me and my friend.
