First Foray into After Effects

Thread Starter
Shot a brief clip with my D800 and 24mm lens yesterday, and tried After Effects for the first time. Not great but it was a fun learning experience.

im confused on what you did in aftereffects.

is this just a test video clip from D800 and nothing more?

After Effects is commonly used for adding special effects to video, not editing it wink.gif

I could have used Premier (right?) but wanted to learn the basics of AE so I can begin working with it more. But yeah, just a basic clip with light color adjustment and music.

Use AE all the time, and have yet to use a special effect. biggrin.gifeek.gif

Very powerful indeed. What I usually use it for is taking footage from camera and putting in a cineform lossless (or near) codec for premiere.

Also use a lot for timelapse editing, because it handles raw files so well. I do color corrections and flickering with some other plugins.

Will check out the video when I get home
