[XSPC] New AX 120mm Series Radiators

I'd like to see this compared to a Mayhems 360 and an SR1.

SR1 lost their crown long ago (well ok maybe not long ago but still). Though I'm curious how mayhems does.

Anyway, I am looking at these almost as if they are a response to the NeXXos XT45/ST30, which are the only real threat to the EX series (well, the XT45 at least), and perhaps the new AX series is somewhat of a "counter" to the current top dog UT60? Whether or not that's the case, and it doesn't really matter (just speculation), XSPC absolutely looks like they are really working HARD to show everyone that you can get unbelievable performance out of a "slim/slimmer" radiator than most think, and maybe now people will start more widely acknowledging that...
The EX420, for example, performs better than any 360 rad I know of, while matching most 480s (some 480s better, some worse) for performance yet requiring significantly less space than the latter despite the 420 actually having more surface area. Of course, you need to have strong fans (cough Bgears Blasters cough), and yeah 120 based radiators have an advantage in the prevalence of super-powered fans with static pressure levels exceeding 30mmH2O, while you have to spend $60 per fan minimum just to get 7mmHg pressure from a 140mm fan. This will change over time, and people will eventually take to 140mm fans like they did to 120mm fans, but in the mean time, 3.5mmHg static pressure at 1800rpm (Bgears Blasters 140mm) is quite impressive, and I am not familiar with any 120x25mm fan that produces that much static pressure at that low of a speed. And the 7mmHg Sanyo Denkei 140mm fan runs at just 1900rpm, or about a solid 800-1000rpm less than an equivalent 120mm fan in terms of pressure, and with 5-10dB less Sound Pressure, equivalent power requirements, and of course a better CFM:RPM ratio.
The big difference with radiators and 140mm fans is not just that a 3x140 has 5400sq-mm more surface area than a 4x120 rad, but that the usable surface area is increased so much by reducing the number of fan hub dead spots, reducing the amount of radiator blocked by fan frames, etc. Surface area in and of itself is useless, what matters is usable surface area, and that is where 140mm fans will take the win.

I would not call it "easily crushing" although it does seem to be capable of outperforming the slim Alphacool full copper one at higher rpm settings according to these reviews.
