I have no problem using Steam on my Panasonic 50" 1080p 3D TV but will be interested in seeing what Valve comes up with.

You mean couch, right..? I hope you're not sitting on your coach.

Anyway, its good Steam is finally getting around to releasing this

Well racing games look great on big screens, and a lower pixel density will help with HUD and stuff if you are sitting a couple or three meters away.

Some of the indie games like Osmos are really fun to play on a large TV with a home theater setup.

Well, I got a pretty decent Home Theater setup. Playing BF3 is very impressive with the 16" subwoofer shaking the whole house. With respect to the screen, my 1080p is not as sharp as yours because I am sitting further away. Proof is that a big picture mode is interesting. But with all the aliasing in games, I kinda like to be further away.

i have 5.2 surround sound in my room and battlefield as well as unreal tournament are amazing

more on topic, i play on a 30inch IPS screen and sometimes i find myself slouching just to be further from the screen... and i sit pretty far back from the screen.

I still dont know how you can see steam fine with a massive 50" Panasonic... .. sitting on a couch and someone messages you, you need binoculars to read the message box.
