basically, microcenter has my poorly-built rig, and they're pretty much correcting my noobiness.

Anywho, after 7 days, they call me and i can request for better cooler... since, well, stock sucks especially for OCing Ivy Bridge.

what cooler will cool it to the ninth circle of Hell and back? tongue.gif

what cooler fits in an ITX case is entirely dependent on what mobo you got:D if you have the asrock, then your best bet may be the HR02 due to its staggered design. you can mount the HR02 so it doesn't hang over the PCIe side due to its unique design. a smaller cooler like a 212+ can also be mounted so it doesn't hang over the PCIe however both solutions require that you have low profile RAM's. so basically you'll need those low profile samsung RAM's

What if you have the ASUS Board? I looked at watercooling and frankly it scared the **** out of me.

What Asus board? I'm already have Asrock... and i dunno if its worth the hassle to switch mobo.

I have the Asus P8Z77-I deluxe and the Xigmatek Aegir with an i7 3770k OC to 4.5 GHz. The Aegir was on sale at MicroCenter for $29 and I am very happy with the cooling results and quiet operation with the stock fan.

considering it's IB, i was thinking if a closed small water loop would be better, but would that fit?

Look in the watercooling forum or the prodigy owners club - there's a huge number of water cooled builds.
