That is clearly not true, and seems to be a very biased opinion. If you really believe that please provide something to back up your beliefs. I really would prefer to keep fanboy-ism out of this topic and stay on the facts.

I will say that i am currently leaning towards the 7970 purely because of the vram/bus size.

In terms of your thinking of resell value for them it's very hard to tell. It all depends on when the new cards come out, specs, and price. Personally I wouldn't bother trying to make that a factor since you may not even find a buyer when said time comes.

And vapor X takes the lead!

I'm not sure why the lightning is so far behind the vapor X. Is the vapor X a newer card ? i remember a little over a month ago the lightning was what everyone was talking about.

Are you going to OC? If not then Nvidia is the clear winner

I will be OCing but just a minor OC. I want the most out of the card while not pushing it to much and waring out the card faster then normal.

From what I have read the 7970 has some massive headroom for OC'ing which seems to be the way to put it ahead of nvidia. Even the 670 gives the 7970 a run for its money. The SC version of the 680 comes with a decent factory OC on it. IMO if you aren't going to OC very far than the 7970 just isn't worth it
