Looking at the coolerexpress ones, I find that the LD phase changers have a better design so that is probably the one I am going with if I decide.

If there was a local guy who did make them i would look into that, but there isn't.. :/

Personal I would go with LD, the Cooler Express units are gigantic and are louder then the average SS in my opinion.

LMAO your kidding right what a dumb uninformed thing to say.

Custom units specially designed for a high load purpose can be large but the retail cooler express units are certainly not large. I realize your a user and not a builder/seller but before you insult someone do some research.

Be tolerant Scott and just supply the facts instead of getting insulting.
He did say "in his opinion".

I've seen videos of them on youtube and they're much much bigger then Vapo's, Mach 2's and LD's units.....

I did not say that they're bad performing units, merely that they're a bit on the loud and large size compared to others in market from what I have seen, you would think that a rep such as yourself would be used to handling negative comments and aim to supply information to change peoples minds on the matter instead of just resorting to mindless bashing, I might not be a builder but it's people like me that buy these units and keep you in the job so show a bit of respect for our opinions.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anSG29RIrbg&feature=related

That is much bigger then any of the other available units and is quite a bit bigger then an LD unit.

I'll give you noise in the video but the XS review you posted also comment on the noise from the fan on the condenser.

The only thing that I could say about this unit is the condenser fan makes to much noise

And they're not larger? They not monster units but they're the largest pre-built SS unit available.

Well, if I can get some stuff sold and find out what I should do in terms of a test bench then I'm most likely gonna go Phase Change thumb.gif

And it is probably gonna be the LD as I think it looks better than the Coolerexpress ones. But thats just me. I'm guessing they perform roughly the same?

I know LD tunes his for 300w @ -30c and the Cooler Express units are 280w I believe but I have no idea what the evap temperature is at that heat load.

Where are you based? If you live in the EU then I would say go with the LD unit but if you're in the USA then get the Cooler Express unit as you'll get a very good customer service and support should anything go wrong. Shipping a LD unit back to him for example would cost a small fortune.
