Whats going on here??

Thread Starter
I have an HP Desktop that had a faulty motherboard. I purchase a board from a member on here, and I cant seem to get any POST whatsoever. Do you guys think it might be bc of my PSU? The board requires an 8 pin CPU connector, and my PSU only has 4. I bought a 4 to 8 pin adapter, put it in and notta. Same thing it was doing before.

The symptoms are: Power it up, all fans come on, cpu fan runs at full speed for a min then slowly goes down until it stops all together. I am just looking for some advice on what you guys think it might be.

Thanks in advance

Edit: its the system in my sig and that's the mobo also.

Are you 100% it's the exact same mobo model as the one before it?

No its def not the same mobo that came with it. It had a stock HP Motherboard with it, its one that I purchased off here, that was made to work with my current hardware.
