Got another update. Corsair went back over my revised ticket after I submitted another one. They sent me a damage claim form, FYI it went to my GMail spam folder. It includes a a *.docx asking for part/serial numbers of their products and any non-corsair products damaged as a result. Also asks for summary of incident, photos, testing done. The disconcerting part is where it talks about component compensation.

Corsair will compensate up to the amounts below for damages to the following items:
a) Motherboard - $100
b) CPU - $200
c) Videocard - $150

My video card was $549 and since they were a limited edition I'm going to be pretty much out of luck getting a new one to bring back my dual SLI setup. In the least I hope they will come through with a an amount capable of purchasing a card of similar stature, but we shall see. I don't know if this is negotiable but I'll certainly push the issue.
All in all I don't regret the purchase ..yet lol. Sure its a gimmick item compared to custom built water solutions but I wouldn't necessarily rule it out for another mid-range build. In the end you have to accept the possibility of loss if you're willing to put water inside of your computer lol.
