Hmmm. I hope that doesn't mean players can insta-switch to PvE from PvP when the going gets tough...
I think that's exactly what it means. I would hazard a guess that you can't do it in the middle of a battle instance if you're about to loose though. So if PvP in general is tough, you can switch to PvE between battles, but not in the middle of a dogfight.

3.6 million and climbing with 4 days left! The devs are adding a new system to the persistent universe every 100k up to 4 million, and a new ship at 3.75.

Devs have released screenshots and information on an early model of the Constellation. Pretty sweet looking ship, and the amount of detail they are putting into the interiors is amazing.

The count is currently at 3,841,000 which is mighty close to 4m with 3 more days remaining. If we hit 4m, they will release mod tools for free and imagine what will be accomplished then by such a dedicated community.

The game will utilize CryEngine 3 and will be a massive game with space dogfights, freelancing and taking contracts, raiding far away systems with your ship and fighting pirates, bandits or becoming one of them.


Looks like the final push is being made and it is one of those projects that definitely needs us, so if you can spare some money please do. There is almost no counterparty risk of them not delivering a game and retaining the money, because one can specifically opt out from that.

The universe will have fifty systems, the single player campain 45 missions, and we unlocked a pirate ship. 4.5 million will get us 10 more star systems, and the largest playable ships in the form of heavily armored cruisers.
