[PCG] You can permanently lose items purchased with real money in The War Z - Page 3

What i think is incredibly stupid is how people are prepared to fork over real money for in game items - nevermind the fact that they can be lost when you die.

And i thought TF2 was bad..

Oh well, i'm sure the people who are prepared to part real money for items will also be prepared to do it multiple times. They clearly have no real sense of value for money in the first place.

This somewhat reminds me of gamblers who i often see lose hundreds/thousands in betting offices in town on slot machines. Yet they still come back, ignoring the fact that these machines are never truly random and they're slowly being bled dry. Beginning to think this entire move will spawn a new type of gambler. (They so need to make a unique zombie called that. The "gambler". LOL)

Stop your complaining also you seem like you didn't even read it. If you die you loose your weapon that you bought.

But even than i sick of you people spamming this nonsense on ever F2P game that is mention. What do you win, because you sure don't win any thing when you buy something from their item store that is optional. You don't have to do it. But some do because theirs something they want and its their money.

I only agree with you on certain things, mainly fashion items, horses or weapon socket items in most of F2P games. But if its Items like Arch-types,Travel powers, and Free Form slot in Champions online or Powers sources or types in DCU Online that are unlocks to a account then no I don't agree.

For me it depends on what it is and what game it is. But 99% of the time in F2P games I will not look at the in-game store let alone spend any money in it. Unless its either Champions Online for one in the blue moon travel power that I have use for that character. Or the very very rare cases DCU When Steam had a sell on a package deal that had the 3 latest DLCs for DCU that I saw was a deal for 7 bucks which was better then paying 10 bucks for the 3 that was included..

Then CIty Of Heroes mainly for the Power set's that I didn't have access to as a premium F2P because I didn't play enough months for the vet rewards prior to the game adding a F2P option. But Most came from be getting Going Rogue for a steal off amazon to get Mostly every thing back as a Premium F2P player that I lost since I wasn't a sub to it any more..

its is not F2P it will cost
Quote:
Is the game free to play or is there a subscription model?
Neither. The game will be available at launch as a single-purchase download with no payments required to play after that. No subscriptions or hidden fees. You'll be able to spend money in the game for items of convenience or to rent game servers.

and you can not buy weapons
Quote:
You mentioned that there will be a store or marketplace in the game. Is it micro-transaction based?
As you explore the game world, you'll find two types of currency - Dollars and Gold Coins. Both can be used for barter between players if you want or to purchase certain consumables (food, medicine, ammo) at the General Store in one of the safe settlements and in the Marketplace in the frontend. Not all items that you find in the world will be purchasable, and by no means do you need to use the store at all - everything can be found in the game world.

How is it vaporware? There's a gameplay video. By your tone I'm assuming you're implying vaporware in the sense that it'll never release.
