Need desparate help overclocking the GTX 580 Classified Hydro Coppers - Page 2

Yes its a bit complicated to implement overvolt support in current PrecisionX... because overvoltage on 580 does not use NVAPI so it is a custom workaround that was only supported on the older version of EVGA voltage tuner.

Also make sure you card is set the card to OC mode first via jumper switch.

I remember when I updated the software I lost the ability to do 1.15v but older versions worked fine

Thank you Jacob!

can you confirm what bios mode i need to be in, cause someone on another thread said that OC mode was locking my voltage! lol

Please confirm if this is true, thanks

I think you already answered my questions about which bios mode i need to be in. I am and always have been on the OC mode so i am good there.

I have overclocked GPU's before so i am no newbie to this, but i do have one question.

Once i find my max stable overclock, I have never been able to set things so that my gpu's stay at that voltage and clocks all the time. I have always in the past have to run furmark or MSI burner just to get my voltage and clocks where they need to be every time i restart windows.

do you know how i can keep it constant?
