GTX670 or HD7970? - Page 4

OP within the choices you have given the Gigabyte HD 7970 Windforce is a good option. good price and a very good cooler . but for bang for buck the HD 7950 is unbeatable.

the sapphire HD 7950 950 Mhz edition even at stock will be close to HD 7970 perf. these cards can do 1150 Mhz with voltage tweaking and easily compete with GTX 670 OC.

The 7950 is just the best card for the money right now, though. And when the next generation comes out, you'll lose less reselling it relatively. It's a win-win now and a win-win in the future.

Really? I haven't heard anything about that except for a couple users on this forum complaining of issues a while back. It has a great cooler, a backplate, and a red/black color scheme, three things that are really important to me. I can't stand the blue PCB on the gigabyte one, though the EVGA was also very good looking and probably my 2nd choice.

There has been many complaints about the DCUII regarding the cooling for the VRMs ...

I do agree with the blue PCB thing though ... what was GB thinking
