Any 650W PSU`s under $80?

I am looking to power a AMD Bulldozer FX-6100 with 2 x Radeon 6870. Does anyone here know if I would be able to get a PSU under $80 at 650W for this rig?

I`m currently considering an OCZ 650W PSU:

For the next 40 hours Newegg is having a sale on their Corsair TX750 V2. JohnnyGuru rated it really highly. If you apply the promo code it's $98 and after a mail-in rebate it's $78.

I love that PSU! But it does come a bit high here in Europe. Any other suggestions perhaps?

Thanks! Unfortunately I`m living in Malta and need to do my shopping from the UK.

The ZS 650 is sufficient for your setup, but it lacks the proper connectivity for it (you would need two Molex -> PCIe adapters).

You might have to stretch that budget a little, to get a higher end unit. Since you're buying from UK I suggest you check out the NZXT Hale90 550W @ scan (high end unit, excellent performer).

Thanks for the advice. Would 550W be sufficient for 2 cards and possibly some OC`ing?

Alternatively I stumbled across this as well as a PSU, any thoughts on this one? "Coolermaster 650W". This one has 2x 6+2pin PCI-Express graphics card connectors.

Uh and alternatively I found this 600W from Coolermaster as well which comes with 2 PCI-e connectors. But I`m not sure of the quality here.

Well, the two CM units you linked are poor, and two PCIe connectors aren't sufficient for 6870 CFX, the ZS 650 comes with two of them too, but you need four. The Hale90 550 comes with four of them, and as stated, it's a high end unit, if you look closely at the power distribution table you'll see it provides the same amount of 12v power as the ZS 650, and it does so much better than the ZS does it (it's massively superior to the ZS), and yes it would be plenty for your setup.
However, if you do insist on buying a higher rated unit, here's another excellent choice, not quite as good as the Hale90 but close.

**** you`re right, I actually do need 4! I better have a good look around again in that case. Thanks!

Wouldn`t Molex adapters work? In that case I just need to ensure amp and wattage is sufficient right? I`ve never worked with CF before as you can see tongue.gif
