If IPC is 15+% over IB this will be my next upgrade IF overclockability remains relatively good.

That's going to be in like 2.5 years. If you're getting a laptop might as well jump on Haswell and exchange out for Skylake when the time comes. That's what I'll probably do.

I wonder how Kaveri is going to counter this... The strong iGP has been the saving grace of AMD APUs but if they don't match the power saving capabilities of Haswell the scales will be tipped in Intel's favor.

Can't wait, I'm not going to upgrade my system anymore. My next purchase will be a Haswell Ultrabook with Thunderport, and an external gpu. (I hope that tech works as good as advertised)
