Raid0 SSD, what is this im seeing?

So i just put my 2x OCZ Vertex in Raid0 to see how performance was.

Im pretty sure that at this current time there is still no Trim available while the drives are in Raid0, however....i updated my Mobo bios to FD14 modified bios that has been updated with the following:

IRST 11.5.0.1414
Realteck 2.48
Jmicron 1.07.28
Marvell BIOS 1.0.01033 / Firmware 2.2.0.1125

So anyway just out of curiosity, i forced the trim function from a program called SSD Tweaker and i noticed the following ( in video clip) happen on my C: drive which is one of two Raid 0 arrays i have in this rig, C: Drive is the 2x Vertex 2 SSD in Raid0.

So im confused, hopefull, and wondering what this is that im seeing here?
Can somebody in the know please tell me exactly why this looks like it does? i mean theres still no Trim in Raid0 right?

So my picture was a bit of a fail as it didnt show the TRIM_Fill.tmp files that im wanting to know about

If you watch the video over on Youtube you can clearly see the C drive fill up with these TRIM_Fill.tmp files and then empty itself shortly after.
I would only have expected to see this if the drives actually did support Trim in Raid0, so why am i seeing this?

Is this actually Trim im seeing or is it something else?

Ah ok, yeah i think he would be able to shine some light on this, like i say as far as im aware Trim wont work an SSD Raid0 array,,,,but whats happening here does look a bit...weird?

intel just released an updated drivers couple of weeks ago, it enabled trim support in raid 0 array.
so yes, what you are seing is the trim in action

A lot of software out there claiming trim functions just create a file or files to take up the free space and then delete them in the hope W7 will send the trim command to clean up those areas. The software itself does not send the command and therefore can not be a guarantee of trim actually working. I suspect this is what you are seeing.

Note that if the software actually sent the proper trim command instead of deleting files then it might work for other OS's before W7.

Well that certainly seems to make sense to me, that would be mean that im just seeing the software making files and then deleting them.

I used to use a different program when i ran 1 SSD and that used to make files and then delete them but the difference was that windows wouldnt respond for about 6-7 seconds after the app apparently "sent" the Trim command, with this new program in my video i get no such temporary freezing after the files are deleted.

Like i say i was hopeful but also sure that Trim wasnt working
