You can get many monitors that have the 120hz refresh rate. Some people connect tv screens too.

If watercooling pick one that you can find a block for. If not then the MSI cooler is better in my opinion.

If he's watercooling anything in his rig I'm guessing he's going to OC the crap out of it, and then it doesn't matter which card has a faster stock clock, you're playing the lottery either way. Poke around a bit and you'll also notice that the lightnings, on average, clock worse. But I'm not here to offer anecdotal evidence. If you're going to overclock, no one brand is proven better than the other at getting reliably higher performance when overclocking.

The Vapor X appears to have a reference PCB, so you could watercool it with ease if that is your plan.

OP if you ever intend to watercool your HD 7970s get a reference HD 7970 PCB based card.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-297-SP

the sapphire HD 7970 OC uses a ref hd 7970 pcb. the sapphire hd 7970 ghz vapor-x and msi hd 7970 lightning use a custom hd 7970 pcb design so it won't be possible to watercool with ref hd 7970 waterblocks. you can see the sapphire hd 7970 oc card pcb here
