I would let it dry for a week to make sure.

What I meant is, the switch on the PSU was switched off, as well as the surge protector which it was connected to. Sorry about the vagueness.

Then I would have very little worries at all. the only power left in the system was what ever was hanging out in the capacitors, but even with the switches thrown you still had the ground connected so that is good.

like others said let it dry good and it will be fine. Without electricity it just becomes a chunk of various metals, plastics and semiconductors. Would you expect an extension cord to be ruined because it got wet?

heh, I'd find a new place to park your case though. Just move it by the window for winter time benching smile.gif

The thing is, it wasn't in a case. It was pretty much horizontally on the desk.. redface.gif

Wait 72 hours and let it completely dry off, was it on during this? If it wasn't on it stands a chance.

Nope. Read post no. 43 above you.

I had tons of rain here too! I was sitting at my computer desk and it was nice and sunny. Then 5 minutes later it was raining and storming like crazy. Doesn't happen much here in the Nevada desert.

Yep, it's still a pretty good build.

Phenom II 555 with third core unlocked clocked at 4GHz
DDR2 800 4GB of RAM.
And I was planning on putting my GTX460 from my sig on it after I got my GTX670.

Use rise m8 , helped me out once.
It usually soaks up the most in 12 hours , but to be sure , the most people would leave it for a day or 2.

Also , hardware you can't open , replace it.
