my bro has a 2 moniotr setup and he does not game.

his vid card has 2dvi ports and 1 hdmi.

what makes more sense? dvi to both monitors or dvi to main monitor, hdmi to other?

also, what is the diff between dvi and hdmi? just that hdmi also sends audio? if so, why do high end Vid cards have DVI ports over HDMI?

Your right the major difference is HDMI sends audio. DVI can support higher resolutions, but you obviously need a monitor (over 24", as an example) that supports that resolution. HDMI will support 1920x1200@60Hz IIRC

High end video cards have both HDMI and DVI and have for quite some time. I personally use HDMI because it's a smaller connection and I need to carry sound through it (I use an external HDMI receiver for sound).

In your situation, I would just use DVI for both. The PQ will be the same either way, DVI can support higher resolutions but unless your on 2560x1600 it really doesn't matter. Digital is digital.
