Would the UD3 version be worth paying 106$ for when I can get the D3 for 88?

The UD3 looks to be the better one in the long run when you decide to upgrade the CPU. Plus it will offer a higher mhz of ram for later upgrades vs the one you just link. At least that is what i see off the bat.

Why not a 2500K and a 7770 ?

For this amount of money i would go Intel for sure.

This is just 570$

Its your money ofcourse but i would put it on a I5-2400 or 2500K.

I did consider it, but having had all intel systems before I figured I'd give AMD a try, also would be a bit cheaper, seeing as I was looking at processors around 100~ USD and I wouldn't dare consider anything under a 2500k if I went intel.

The I5-2400 is a good gaming CPU to, my GF been using it for a long time now.
Myself wouldnt go with less then a 2500K though so your right there lol

As you see though in the end the price's are almost the same but Intel give's alot more CPU performance.
My build was just 35$ more.

I understand trying AMD for a change is nice to, i have just recently done this and got an A8-3870K soon to be in CF with a 6770 biggrin.gif
Got a little AMD Fusion as home server to.

I love all hardware to, no matter if its AMD or Intel but sadly Intel seems to be the winner in almost every price range.

Like i said before its your money in the end and you deside what to do with it, and yes i to buy hardware i dont need or is subpar to another just to get it in me hands and play with it lol.

Purchased this for 49.99. Might get a motherboard today as well, while I sleep on it as far as the processor, seems many options as far as AMD. Though I do admit intel is still an option. I'm stuck between the 4170 and 965 (or 975/980 if i can find them).

Is there a possibility of the 4170 being better in the future? I do see performance varies on games a bit, and it does have a slightly higher passmark than the 965.
