Security suites

Hai ppl

I have never been too good with software, especially security stuff. So that being said, our it support people at my university told me they offer sophos to all students and staff etc. I have been a little uneasy about having no antivirus on my mac so far and I was thinking of installing Sophos. But I also was offered a spare copy of norton Internet security for mac as well. For the sake of my sanity, I am wondering which one you all think is a good choice or if neither, what is? I dont browse anything fishy on my mac so I don't expect to be torrenting or anything. I looked around and all I found were opinions so if I am going to choose based on opinions, I figured I would ask the site that has given me the opinions that haven't steered me wrong yet haha. Ty in advance everyone <3

I'd avoid Norton at all costs.
