Looking for a new mouse similar to the abyssus

I've been using the razer abyssus for quite a while now, and while its pretty good, I've had to replace it a few times when it runs into issues. I want something similar in shape and with a good sensor of course. Any suggestions?

Zowie AM, Steelseries Sensei Raw (in case you don't use high dpi's, the positive accel tends to be almost unnoticeable on lower dpi's)

I can confirm that that positive acceleration is not that huge on lower (400-800) CPI settings. It's noticeable at some extend, but unless you're heavily relying on your muscle memory it wont really affect your game performance. A9500 can be a little bit picky about the surface (you wont get optimal performance on black cloth).

I've heard that zowie mouse have dodgy build quality, but i'm not sure about that. Never owned one.

I have been in the same boat as you... replaced my abyssus 2-3 times. Using a finger tip style with a preference for ambidextrous mice. Playing mostly Quakelive with 24cm/360° and 800-900 dpi. So here are some experiences i had regarding different current mice.

I tried the Zowie AM, SS Kana and CM Spawn; Small, more or less ambidextrous mice.

Tbh if you compare the Zowie AM to the Abyssus, the Zowie loses in every aspect... The buttons are a mess, totally different shape (the sides of the AM are / \, abyssus \ /) and getting used to the really low Lod will take some time, i could never get used to it. Felt like negative accel

The Kana on the other hand has some other flaws:
- the side buttons just suck. gripping the mouse a little bit hard than usual and you will end up pressing the buttons and you lose control...
- the ttc switches are really bad mad.gif

CM Spawn, the shape is unique, tried it for some time, but it never really grew on me. Everything else (sensor, switches etc...) was top-notch.

What i like atm is the roccat savu. Light, very good sensor and even with its symmetrical shape i like the grip.

Summary:

Take better care of your abyssus wink.gif
Try the CM Spawn, if you can get used to the shape its an awesome mouse
Try the Roccat Savu, very good sensor performance
Or go oldschool with an WMO smile.gif

Zowie AM takes some time getting used to. Now I actually like the harder to press buttons (more control), but at the start I was like "teh **** is this".

The build quality of the AM is quite solid, but they had a few design flaws such as the overlapping mousebuttons for people with really long fingers.

Thanks for the suggestions. Most of the mice mentioned don't look comfortable for me, the main thing I want when it comes to shape is having the part closest to my palm curved so its good to wrest on. A list of mouse I've tried: g9x, cm spawn, g300, deathadder, lachesis, tt black element, tt saphira, g500, rat 7.
