Personally, I would get the Samsung Galaxy S3, it's an incredible phone.

A quick Google search should answer your question. I'm not familiar with cellular service in other countries.

Galaxy S3, or even the Galaxy Nexus. Which can be had from Google directly off contract for $350.

SGS3. No question. The SGS3 offers 4G LTE and NFC (basically the fastest data transfer available) and has much more RAM and CPU power than the iPhone 5.

Apple is behind Samsung. The iPhone 5 doesn't have NFC which is a huge disappointment.

Try them both. The 5 is quite powerful in terms of hardware. What OS is best is very subjective.

A 'huge disappointment'? Who even uses NFC? I really can't think of any time besides the 8th grade when I actually used a gimmick like S beam with my friends.

With that said, I prefer the customization and ability to do whatever of android.. even, dare I say, WP7/8!
I really like my SGS3. I would review some gsm phones, and check out the xda-developers.com forums for phones. Otherwise costco has great deals on their phones usually. I've got a T-mo G2 I might be selling soon.
