I have Linksys WRT310N currently which is ~ 2 years old. I have been experiencing very slow WLAN speeds. This is noticeable more and more every day. When i want to stream videos over Wifi to my iPad ot GNex now i lag even @ 1536 KB/s. I dont notice the speed drop much from the Internet sinceits slow to begin with 5MB/1MB. What do you guy recommend ~ $100 price range. I will spend more if necessary. Range is probably a important factor to me.

Easy to set up and use, used it for about a year and never had a problem.

This is the router that I use. It is very reliable and, I suspect given the name, the one the Belkin router is based around. Although this one seems a little bit better in that it supports 600Mbps and IPv6.
Edit: Found this router review site and they basically say the router is mediocre. This site lists some great routers in your price range though.

I wouldn't buy anything belkin for networking, terrible and not worth the money.

How about the Asus RT-N66U, their new top of the line router? I have been looking at getting it to replace the WRT300N that is currently the backbone of my network (with DD-WRT and a few WRT54Gv2 or v3 routers with DD-WRT acting as wireless bridges). The house is 5700sq-ft and the main router is at the top floor on the side of the house, while my home theater is in the basement, so speeds are currently "acceptable", but I would think that using the Asus as primary and the WRT300N as a wireless bridge, and then moving the 54G's further to the corners of the house would result in far faster speeds, by having a 150MBs minimum connection speed (54G's are used mostly for guests, and all home devices can be set to select which router to grab from), yes?
I really want to be able to better use XBL and stream 1080p video without buffering constantly...

i love my linksys e4200 and wireless is great throughout my house and even outside. tho as mentioned above the Asus rt66u is one beast of a router as you can see on smallnetbuilder
http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/lanwan/router-charts/bar/76-total-simul
http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-reviews/31687-asus-rt-n66u-dark-knight-dual-band-wireless-n900-gigabit-router-reviewed
i would have gone with the Asus rt66u if i could have found it here at the time when i upgraded. i am still happy with the linksys e4200 tho
i forgot to ad there is the new ASUS RT-AC66U 802.11ac standard router but its not worth it unless your end devices support 802.11ac. plus looking at the review its not as good as they were hoping and with "Not yet stable firmware" i would give it a miss FYI
http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-reviews/31841-asus-rt-ac66u-80211ac-dual-band-wireless-ac1750-gigabit-router-reviewed
in the end my recommendation would be the asus rt-n66u
