So yeah, basically he loses 5% of his potentional buyers when pricing his 2600k according to online stores, but he shouldn't sell this processor for dirt cheap because of those 5% OCN users, that live near an MC store.

Dude, everyone may NOT have one near them but they'll still use that price against you when negotiating. Why would anyone want to pay near or at retail for an item from a 2nd party? I'll get it from a reputable retailer first and get better service and near zero risk.

you wont get full retail here going to have to knock off 5-10% of the price.

5-10%? I'll pay the extra and get it from a retailer.

If a reputable store exists that has it cheaper it is valid to compare to imo, of course you disagree with that but we are each entitled to our own opinion on that.

This.

So you can't actually buy an 2600k for every OCN user that asks you to.
Oh, and by the way, that 2600k is OOS almost in every single MC store. They only have one 2600k in MA.

Because Microcenter NEVER let someone walk in, buy something, walk out, take it to their car, walk back in and buy another.

Microcenter pricing is more than valid.  Take MC price + your local sales tax + a couple dollars for gas + shipping cost and that's your appraisal/

What's not valid are idiots trying to sell 2nd hand abused or even broken stuff for more than retail (no offense meant to the OP since he specifically states NIB product) which seems to be the typical MO for most of the typical OCN marketplace sellers.  Sorry, it had to be said.

I think MC only has i7-2700k now, which is $230

I've offered $220-240 for used i7-2600k / i7-2700k on Craigslist before but no takers, but it could be because people only want to sell as a bundle rather than part out.

OCN is a different beast because the CPUs under OC take more wear and tear. Hell, people on craigslist will even advertise "never been overclocked"
