Thus a stock 7970 would come pretty close to 2x570s. Oh and it consumes less power too wheee.gif
Even my 7850 with OC destroys 570.

7970 is amazing and far from weak sauce. I would insist that you sell your 570's which would more than likely cover the cost of a 7970. Remember to pick the right 7970 for you. I picked the one in my sig rig because it offered the best stability, overclock-ability, heat dissipation, and output options. 4 display port will allow you to run eyefinity without screen tearing.

However, two 570 will far outstretch the core capabilities of the single 7970. But the vram problem you mention leaves you no viable upgrade path for the 570's.

Moreover, the latest 7970 drivers renders it the supreme king of GPUs in performance and its overclocking scales much better than the 680 counterpart.

We weren't going by today's latest, based on performance. 2x570 > 1x7970. I don't take power into account especially if I'm running SLI already.
