Haha. Ignorant statments FTW! (Not you, whoever said that)

Drivers from both camps have their issues, although happily for single card setups these seem to be fairly rare.

But hey, I want to play the game too:

Hey guys, Ford have a virtual monopoly because they don't get flat tyres....

Good news for everyone.

On AMD drivers... both SLi and CrossFire have had driver issues from the get-go and continue to have issues, that's a given. I've had my 6870 since it launched and have had zero drive issues, from 11.10 to 12.8 now, performance has only increased. Not really sure why people so vehemently claim AMD's drivers suck right now (or previous iterations starting with 11.10)

This is great but when is this happening? I tried overclocking my 6870 and only managed to get 0.6FPS ish so i'm still at 20FPS while streaming so I'm looking to get a 7870 but they're still around the £200.00 price point in the U.K.

The 7970 just became a very tempting card!
Very good for us consumers.

Maybe the next gen cards won't launch with absurdly inflated prices?
Might consider a new card then.
Chances of finding a 7950 for $250 on a random sale has just gone up greatly. especially since most sale prices are the same as these new prices now, may just have to purchase a new card to replace this dieing 570:thumb:.

Still rocking the 5850. Love the comments about AMD driver issues. I don't think people who make those statements want to change their minds, so o well. thumb.gif

We all know Nvidia cards never have driver issues though, right?

Great news. First AMD card will most be likely be a 7950.
In Australia you can pick up a new 3GB 7970 for $419 and the GTX 680 2GB for $529, those are the lowest prices so far.

Good job for AMD, can't wait to see what will happen, if I was in the market no doubt would I switch over to the red team if untiy3d didn't use physx frown.gif

EDIT: also a 7950 3GB for $319 and GTX 670 for $399.

And 7870 for $255 and 660ti for $339

All in AUD remember we get higher prices no matter what.
