I hate that i finaly have a fast laptop and that i can't even use it..... for the games that is made for.

I know exactly how you feel, ive just spent £580 on this laptop, and all i wanna do is jam pack my hard drive with the games ive brought, but at the moment theres no point in doing anything cept playing guild wars, which is the only game i can play.

The original drivers stutter like hell, and the beta ones, whilst improving framerate slightly, always crash after like 2 mins.

I do wish Nvidia would pull their fingers out theyre asses and support the product theyre boasting ever so much about. The 650m itself is impressive, but the support is absaloutley shameful.

Guess i'll just be playing the only game that i can play right now, guild wars 2, not that its all that bad redface.gif

Stutter? I thought your issue was freezing and crashing? Hasn't it changed at all after the new driver?

Stutter/freezing/crashing, depends what game i play and how long for. Usually stutters a bit, then a few mins later starts freezing then eventually completely freezes the game..

Just been playing around with v-sync, triple buffering and fps capping using msi afterburner.

I got deus ex to run real smooth using 60 fps limiter and leaving v-sync off. Only i get extreme screen tearing with is almost as unbearable as the former =/

Starting to think about returning the laptop. Not sure what theyre returns policy are though, dont wanna be without it for a couple of weeks or w/e while they do repairs/replacements. =/
Even if it is a bad driver, i doubt they could tell me i have to wait it out lol..

*** IS THIS ****!! i put on my laptop and i tought! YES! AN OFFICIAL DRIVER!! finaly.. but to bad.... Stil the same problems with the crashing and stuf..
First thing i'm going to do monday is call the company i bought it from.

The reason i bought this laptop is the strong build but i can't do **** with it now. Not one game i like is playing normal on it... ****! sry but i'm getting very frustrated by now.

it seems like i'm not the only one with the problem, however i can't seem to find many ppl with the problem so i think its us then...or our hardware..

Keep in touch..

This may sound dumb but, maybe it's overheating?

Try to undervolt it.

My laptop actually has amazing ventilation. Its from a UK company called Novatech who build their own brand computers, and are probably the cheapest seller of components in the UK.

Anyways, the vent on the side works really well. CPU max temp is 74c so far and max GPU temp has been 65c. Thats full load, so its definately not a heating problem as i thnk max temps for these are like 85-90c for cpu and up to 90c for GPU.

To DirtyChester..

i know what you mean, it feels as if no one else is having this problem. I refuse to believe its the hardware as guild wars 2 and minecraft run perfectly now, 'i rolled back to the 296.32 driver after using driver wipe', its just deus ex human revolution and BF3 that dont seem to be working properly, with stuttering, although now ive rolled the driver back, it doesnt freeze anymore.

Only other thing ive found thru google is people posting about particular games not working properly, but no one posting about the card itself being at fault, most believe its game related.

I honestly feel its just bad drivers, and it drives me mad that nvidia are so ****ing useless as to release a working driver for a new chip they so highly praise.

Yeah man, but that's so strange for me. I can't seem to play any of my games without crashing the driver software or freezing the game.
If i startup Just Cause 2, its not even 30 sec ingame and bam! Its gone. Driving me nuts.
I tried new drivers, old driver, custom ones. Nothing seems to work at all. I really should try out the games you play to check if they work for me also.
My company is called Medion. But it seems so weird. It has to be the driver software. It just has to be.
But then again. How in the world could they test this 650m card on the game testing and rating sites if i can't even play at all...
Some say that we need to blame the oem.. I doubt it...
I'm calling the company for sure. I just need to no more about this.
I will download the games you play and ill report back here.

-DirtyChester

[EDIT] to myself.

Ive installed Cabal online today and that game seems to work fine. on full graphics. Had the game playing for over an hour or so.
Next games i will try are Aion Online and Max Payne 3.

[EDIT] to myself 2.

Max Payne 3 doesn't work. Getting strange artifacts on the screen and so it doen'st displays the right image. Short. Doesnt work.

[EDIT] to myself 3.

Aion Online gives me black screens every 3 ~ 4 mins. But then the game crashed. Something with memory error.
