650d Owners - Whats the max rad thickness you can fit in the roof?

Would it be possible to fit a 40mm radiator with 1 set of 25mm fans or would the rad have to be 30mm or less?

I fit a 31mm with a set of fans the first go I had with a 650D. Rad was a Black Ice Stealth 140.2. The one problem I had afterwards is that the 140mm rad would be blocked by the hot swap bay on the top (dunno about the 120.2's though). To circumvent that you need to have the fans in a pull config. I jusyt took the hot swap bay out, installed a koolance rad shroud and had a push pull config on the 104.2.

I can only tell you that 70mm from the top is cutting close if you have a single 120mm rad with fan as exhaust (push) as it touches the frame of the 120mm fan. So, Push/pull with ~35.5mm thick radiator is out of the question. Even with one fan, you can only do exhaust in push. Thick 120.1 rads (e.g. XSPC RX series) can't not be mounted at all.

I bought the CoolStream RAD XTX (240), which is 64mm and I didn't fit. I had to go with a XSPC EX240 - Black, which has plenty of room.

It does if you put a koolance shroud on top and mod the case. I have it sitting next to me right now.

By simply moving the rad around and using the mesh grill (w/ washers) instead of the fan holes, you can fit thick rad up there.

Perhaps, I shoulda put "not possible without modding". I assume he wants to stick with the manufacturer's spec. (e.g. fan holes).
