Overclocking e6400 with P5B Deluxe........

Thread Starter
I have just built my first PC and everything is running well. I would love to overclock as far as possible using the stock cooler. I have got to 2.7 with fsb setting but can't get further. I obviously bought the P5B as it's a great overclocking board. I know they got the e6400 to run at 3.1 at Tom's Hardware but they don't give the specifics of the bios settings. If anyone has details of the same mobo with the e6400, I'd be very grateful. The memory is OCZ DDR2 Gold 6400.

What are your RAM settings? you might be hitting the limit of your RAM. Put it on 1:1 for now (DDR2 533 speeds at stock). Then, when you overclock, the RAM will hit stock at a CPU speed of 3.2GHz

Skip up to 400FSB. A lot of people have problems in the 350-400FSB range
