Issue with CM Storm Trigger? Others have this? - Page 2

Do you guys ever have the issue where the keyboard randomly fails and windows says "Cannot provide enough power to USB input device.."

It happens with the LEDs on and off.

I've contacted customer support MULTIPLE times and tried to do an RMA but failed to get a response after an initial "Oh yes, your keyboard is faulty."

I haven't seem to come up with a solution other than to keep re plugging it back in and out of sheer luck, it starts working again (Sometimes takes me 10 minutes to get it to work.)

You just need to plug it in to a USB 2.0/3.0 port mine never turns off it just doesnt work without having the trigger app open.

I'm having issues with my CM storm trigger. I think maybe I unplugged accidentally one-two many times. Though it works fine when I have the app window open but when I close it and after the 30s delay to update it goes back to not working properly. Like part of my keyboard doesn't function properly. A,S,Q,W,Z,X and tab caps and LSHIFT don't work but when I open the app its working fine like right now i'm typing.

Starting from two days ago, my keyboard started being weird. When I rebooted my desktop and wanted to input my password during the windows log-in screen, the keyboard isn't responding. The num pad light is on but the keyboard won't respond at all. I tried plugging the keyboard to my laptop and even though my laptop recognized the keyboard, the keyboard still won't function. Note: the num pad light is on like usual when it's plugged.

I think I have found what the problem is. The keyboard won't function if I don't have the software open (as in I first log onto my Windows using another keyboard then open the CoolerMaster Trigger app). But then whenever I close the software, the keyboard will just stop functioning (I can't even turn the numpad or capslock on and off). I have tried selecting profile by pressing the right storm button + profile number but it doesn't do anything cause the keyboard isn't responding. I have also tried creating multiple profiles on the keyboard RAM and PC RAM but it doesn't work..

Hey Toonfish. Did you every find out how to fix this? I am suddenly having the same problem.

@rwillems: Unfortunately I couldn't find a solution and I had to return it to the store. Luckily the new one seems to be working just fine and I haven't had a similar problem with it.
