The avago 9500(Which the mionix naos 5000 is using) and the avago 3688/3888(basicly the same as the new 3090 which is used in many new gaming mice) gets very low perfect control speed on the steelseries sx.

How can we be sure this is not the same case with the ensis as they are both made of aluminum?

As you can see the mouse already stops tracking if you move the mouse more than 1.2m/s which is awful

We cant know. untill we test it out biggrin.gif

But SX was always considered as problematic surface for both optic and "real"&CMOS based laser sensors. the thing is that I didnt really heard any bad about the scarab (razer's aluminium)
it might be the specific-textured-surface SteelSeries choosed from the factory

You mean Ironclad, but that shouldn't count as it is coated with a layer of paint (that some people managed to scratch off and expose the aluminium core), so tracking depends more on the paint than on the underlying aluminium.

For reference, the Scarab (white one) also has lower PCS than most other pads with all mice I've tested it (all infrared opticals).

I'm interested on those pads, if we can get some m/s MPC figures to see if they perform better than the SX with CMOS sensors smile.gif

It could also be the coating steelseries put on

I've been searching for another aluminium mouse pad other than my SX for years. Can't wait to see reviews thumb.gif
