EDIT: And I mentioned earlier that this game sold "well"... Bayonetta made most of its sales in the West. If this game flops I hope Nintendo compensated Platinum well.
If Bayonetta 2 was to come out on the next gen Xbox/PS you'd have to buy new hardware anyway!
Some of you seem to be forgetting that money makes games. They way I see it, Bayonetta 2 wouldn't be happening if Nintendo hadn't taken it under its wing and personally funded it.
I should have phrased that better. What i meant to say was:
They're forcing an existing fanbase to move over to a completely new hardware base, incompatible with what they currently own (Refering back to the GOW/Halo comparison). I mean sure, props to Nintendo for trying to market their new console to us, the core/niche gamers, but taking an IP that had ok sales (around the 1.3-1.5 million region iirc) on a console base that was well established already (4 years into the Xbox/PS3 life cycle), and saying to those fans "HEY! You're blowing $300 + $60 on our Xbox
Pro controller so you can play that awesome gem not many know of".
So yes, i'm well aware of the fact that we would need a new console anyway, but going from Xbox/P3 -> Wii U exclusive... yeah, that was not very smart. So i'll say what i said in a previous post. I hope Nintendo compensated Platinum well...
