http://www.squaretrade.com/our-coverage

You ship defective products to them and they deal with the manufacturer or get you full money back.

What's the crossover like? I heard it's almost identical to the Catleap.

Technically speaking all these Korean monitors are almost identical. It comes down to the shell they put the panel in. From what I have experienced and seen from people on OCN, the Crossover has the highest quality housing as well as lowest rate of dead pixels and such.

Ive been looking at the crossover and I'll have to say I really like it, As soon as I get the cash put into my paypal account I'll make the final decision but I'm almost sold on the crossover. thumb.gif

FWIW, there are a number of people selling Korean monitors on Amazon for $400-550. ShiMians and Catleaps for the most part. They look like one-off deals; probably people buying on ebay, marking them up a few bucks, and flipping them on Amazon. Might be worth the markup to have Amazon involved in the sale. They've been very responsive the couple times I've had trouble with low-volume sellers shipping incorrect or defective products.

I bought three Matrix monitors thru ebay about a month ago and I'm happy with the result. I paid $20 extra for a "no dead pixel" guarantee and all three are perfect with no dead or stuck pixels. The price was under $320 per monitor including delivery and I received them 7-10 days after placing the order. While I wasn't expecting it, they're apparently HDCP compliant. At least that's what my nvidia control panel says. For about another hundred bucks per monitor, I could have had multiple inputs.

Before looking into the Korean route, I was trying to find a deal on a U3011. I would have been lucky to get a clean, used one for what I paid for my three 1440p displays. Hard to beat that kind of savings. Now I can game at 7680x1440. thumb.gif
