problem installing widows

every time i try to install windows xp on my desktop it only gets to the initial set up screen saying that windows is starting up. what can i do to make the system finish the install?

did you install while overclocking? is it overclocked right now?

What kind of Hardrives are you using ?
What are the system specs ?

i use more than 1 computer so putting the system specs in profile wouldn't be easy. i have to dig up the specs for the pc in question.
