Alright sorry everyone for the delayed updates. I've done some good work, but won't have time until this weekend to post pictures. However I have a dilemma.

I STILL can't figure out what to do with the top and front pieces of the case. I originally was going to do one massive piece of steel that started from the back and bent down all the way to the bottom front, but now looking at it, it's going to be hard to fabricate. I don't know what else would look good, does anyone have any ideas to throw out?

I'll continue researching and pondering this in the meantime. I'm exhausting good and bad ideas quickly mad.gif

What about Dwood? He can fabricate metal parts, all that would be left would be to paint it. Ohh and the measurements.

Measurments for the full hood would be close to impossible. I also don't know what I want the top and front to even look like in terms of grills, mesh, etc.

Nice work so far! I love seeing the little guy mods! Build logs with thousands and thousands of $ worth of parts are nice, but unrealstic and a little uninspiring to me.

I can't wait to see the ammo box, and I have a feeling where this is going thumb.gif

As for the hood, I would suggest doing what I am at the moment: go and get yourself some 1 or 2 mm cardboard, and physically think out your ideas. You can hack and change as much as you want, having something you can physically alter on the spot is an excellent way to think and really progress with an idea.
What you'll probably find is what you end up with is nothing like what you originally envisioned, it's always for the best but. thumb.gif

Good lord am I overdue for updates! I'll have to find the cable to my camera and take some pictures for you guys.

As of now, the build is on hold until it gets a little warmer. I have some very large metal pieces that not only have to be fabricated but stencil painted as well. I made the mistake on painting in the cold on some parts of the actual Cosmos case, so I learned my lesson. Stay tuned for pictures though. I apologize to anyone who's subbed!

Alright well I actually got off my butt this weekend and took some pictures. Thanks to animal0307, who actually revived this thread and reminded me I still had a build log going on! The rig is actually almost done: the only pieces left are the top and front. The whole system is running, and I've been using it for awhile! My cable management needs some work, but I'll save that for the final build pictures. Enjoy!











Fan controller was changed to the Bitfenix Hydra. Plain and simple, I found it fit the build better than the Scythe controller and the GX Typhoon.

The top and front are all that's left!


Go home video card, you're drunk. drunken.gif (But really though, is there anything I can do about this? A video card jack is going to look stupid, let alone finding a place to put it.
