HELP with Gigabyte HD 7770 Voltage

Thread Starter
I recently replaced my dead gigabyte 9800gtx (ah the good days) with a gigabyte hd 7770 OC.

By default the gigabyte card is OC to 1100/1250 only a tad higher than the AMD default of 1050/1125. I have not OC the card yet.

Now to the problem ... when playing skyrim this card's drivers CRASH. I mean cmon its just skyrim:mad:

So i thought I might increase the voltage to increase stability. Surprise surprise, the voltage is locked in MSI Afterburner, ASUS GPU Tweak and AMD OVERDRIVE.

I've even tried this, but had no luck:
HOW TO: Enable UNOFFICIAL overclocking mode in MSI AfterBurner

It seems that Sapphire TriXX allows me to increase mV to 1200 in VDDC. However I need to increase the voltage higher as all games especially Skyrim crashes my drivers at 1100/1250mHz OC.

My girlfriend has this card and using beta 10 of afterburner we're able to clock it up to 1.3v.

If yours doesn't work with that version of afterburner then the only other thing i did was update the bios for the HD 7770 OC here.

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4278#bios

Using the official Gigabyte flashing tool is what i did. It won't let you flash the wrong bios either, i tried. tongue.gif
