Heat sink that will fit in Corsair 300R

Thread Starter
The PC i'm building has an i5-3570k and it's going in a Corsair 300R
I'm wondering about space.
I was recommended this cooler, but then I hear it's going to be very big and might not fit well http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WPHXIS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
can anyone confirm?
Any smaller but good quality heat sinks out there if needed?

It will fit. If you want to save time in the future look up the item on newegg, they usually list the dimensions of the product. Then compare it to your prospective case using the same method. thumb.gif

My case is a Corsair 300R too.
My heatsink is the Hyper 212+ (not the Evo).
Both the Plus and the Evo are listed as 159mm height.

Other heatsink that could fit is the Noctua DH-14 (height of 160mm).

I not sure about other higher heatsinks, but I believe that the TPC 812 (height of 163mm) could also fit.

Just look the post #1818 about the Havik 140 (height of 166mm):

http://www.overclock.net/t/1119694/official-corsair-carbide-series-300r-400r-500r-owners-club/1810

Let me know about your choice.
Plase send me a PM about your new heatsink.
Maybe in my future upgrade I could need to replace my current Hyper 212+.

Good luck for you.
