As said above, in an edit. If you can't do 300 FSB, go to your memory settings and set tRFC values to 160ns. This generally helps a lot with FSB overclocking.

Ok then sorry, have you tried upping the voltage to say 1.55V? and lowering from there, maybe a core is holding you back. Have you tried increasing your CPU/NB to 2.6Ghz?

1.55v is dangerously high for Thuban under 24/7 usage conditions.

From the other input I got so far, above 1.5v is not recommended, also I don't have a monster PSU (650W).
I also has been told to keep HT/etc to 2000MHz as much as possible.
Why should I up these?

Obviously.... But his chip might need that kind of voltage... Not every chip is guaranteed 4Ghz @ 1.455521365455V doh.gif

Leave HT at 2000.

Generally increasing the CPU/NB to 2600 will offer higher stability. If you can get it up to 3000, that's the real performance sweet spot for the memory controller.

1.5 is "alright". 1.55 is way too much for 24/7 on standard cooling. Especially considering LLC. That said, I've run mine at about 1.5v @ 4200 for the better part of a year and a half. 1.4750v is the recommended safe limit, however. YMMV.

Increase tRFC.

I have just tried the setting you stated and it did not work, however altering my memory timings with a slightly different cpu.f @ 286 gave me this

My ram multiplier will only allow me to run at just under 1200 or just over 1500 @ 4 and 5.33 so i am running it at 1200 approx at the moment.

Leave NB and HT voltage at Auto. Only adjust CPU/NB voltage and CPU

Try running your ram at 1333mhz. I could only get my 1100t to 3.9ghz when my ram was at 1600mhz. But when I clocked the ram down to 1333mhz I could run 4.3ghz on my 1100t easily.
