Stop complaining about your PSU. That unit is more than capable for your system at the moment.

The PSU calculator you posted over-shot the wattage because it assumes you're using some cheapo brand that doesn't supply enough power.

The Tru you have is powerful. Don't fret over it.

Altering my timings and dropping down to under 1333mhz has given me 4Ghz see the link at the top of this page.

Had to remove 2 RAM sticks and put some NB voltage otherwise no POST or windows boot would happen, but yeah \o/

EDIT: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2516047 timings at 7/9/7/24 smile.gif

Unplugging and carrying the setup back home. Time to test the thing back into it's real environment. Will update later tonight.

Eeeeh. Forgot the final bios pic. *facepalm*

How much NB voltage are you giving it now? And what about CPUNB?

You can also try increasing the VCC18 (SB 1.8) a few steps to aide in smoothing out clock fluctuations if they are causing it to go outside of stable spec.

Pic updated in previous post for voltages, dunno if I have that VCC setting.

I found another thread on the same CPU/same goal and a similar board. You might want to take a look there and see if there's anything that has been mentioned that could assist you in your goal. smile.gif

No, this guys board can not overclock that chip. It's a little different lol.

@OP, it looks good, but DAYUM that's a lot of vcore. Have you tried turning up the CPU/NB and lower the vcore just a little bit?

Note; leaving CPUNB clock at 2000 is a huge bottleneck to your memory.

I think I'm running pretty much on the max that my MB allows me to push NB/CPU voltage. Will try, though.

Noted. Will raise it.

I ALSO found a MAJOR stopper. one of the set of two sticks doesn't run as nicely as the other. I put said "set B" in bank 1,3 No POST OR bios corruption OR black boot screen OR blinking "_" OR etc, no windows boot attempt. It even failed to detect my HDD once. Then I put the DIMMs in bank 2,4, same results. Swapped for said "set A", instant POST and windows boot, stable. @.@

@voltages, yes. I was going to "run stable, then lower"
