Ok, so that was the new ram. I'm perfectly stable. I played Saint Rows the Third for many hours and a few other CPU-intensive stuff and left the PC open while I was sleeping. No issues at all. \0/

You should however give it a proper stressing, even just for a couple hours. Games and "general use" are generally bad at pointing out hard to see background corruptions.

I agree. But my corsair ram would never have survived that, so that's a good starting point.
I also only have one decent computer, running stress tests for a few hours on it while I'm awake is not exactly fun. tongue.gif
Oh, I guess I could install something lightweight on my laptop and fill it's profile page.

It's sad that I spend more time on backup rig than I do on the 'real' rig. I grew paranoid over my previous board. This new one however- works amazin' lol thumb.gif

Glad your clocking and memory are holding up well though, still- be careful with the vCore. It isn't "recommended" to go above 1.475v on air, but YMMV. Watch those temps! tongue.gif

Finally have my own validation link in sig for once- now if only CPUz weren't useless at determining a processor family. 1050T, 1070T... wat?

On air? I'm running with a H80! 28-31°C idle at lowest speed.

H80 = air.

The Phanteks PH-TC14PE performs similarly to a stock H80, and when I had my H80, I whipped a pair of Nidec AP30 (4250RPM high-pressure) fans on it. biggrin.gif The pump ended up being the cooling bottleneck, hah.

Edit: the only CLC from Corsair that outperforms high end air coolers at 350W of heat, is the H100. And only by a couple of degrees at best. wink.gif They are also way quieter than the Hseries.

What a big pair of.... fans :>
yeah, that probably wouldn't fit my case though. Anyway, I don't plan spending more on cooling right now, since I'm planning to switch CPU/MB/Case and add a SSD in the mix. I'll water-loop my new setup and keep whatever's left in the old case for when I get a video card I can water-cool (I was planning for a 690 but apparently there's not a lot of (if any) GTX690 sold with waterblocks already on it. I'm not rich enough to risk scraping a 1000$ card biggrin.gif I'll probably get a pair of 680 if I water-loop.
This way i'll have two complete PC and probably will use one as a firewall/server/backup/etc, I still haven't decided.

Didn't say the H80 was bad, my only gripe was that by the time it's cooling was really "solid" it was so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think. When I go to FrozenCPU, I am going to get a UK3K to slap on this heatsink of mine for shiz and giggles. Thought about using an AP30 for the center push fan (UK3K too thick). Other than messing around, the stock fans are adequate and pretty quiet! biggrin.gif

58C in IBT at 1.48v is definitely a feat when it's done almost silently biggrin.gif (CPU, not core).

This is just my turd to continually polish, eventually when I rebuild from scratch, I will probably get a decent watercooling setup too. Planning on doing that when Maxwell and Haswell/SR are around. Nothing really compelling for an "upgrade" until then. However, I am polishing my turd one last time with an FX8350 when they drop biggrin.gif

Ah, Right. Just a quick google search and they seem to be indifferently named either. Last-minute branding change after the CPUID was burnt inside the chip programmer?

I barely hear my fans and I'm sitting right beside it. Again, I'm used to air cooling since my first pc, I fall asleep easily now.
