Would like some multi-color LED room lighting recommendations.

I would like some suggestions for color LED lighting, since there seems to be a few options. I would like to be able to alternate colors with a remote. I've looked at strips and individual bulbs, and would like to know what would be both the brightest and look the best. I would like something that looks nice as well as provides more of a uniform color, instead of each individual LED being noticeable.

I'm also wondering if the bulbs work with regular light bulb fixtures and how they are powered, as well as if they are very bright. If the bulbs are the best option I would probably get a few, it will be lighting a 10'x11' room.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Well I ordered some cheap led strips recently (16' for $8 shipped on amazon) hitlights and ledwholesalers seem to make the best ones from reviews I've read. If your buying in volume I'm sure the price would come down even more. This type of thing should work great for your application assuming that they will be hidden (behind trim such as up lights or under cabinet lighting is a common usage for these.) 16' can usually be powered bya 2a wall wart charger like your router (and many other electronics use) I have a few laying around, but they can be found for $8.

Again, have not personally used these yet just ordered one to play with, it will be back lighting my headboard. But for $8 worth a shot.

Not affiliated with this product, not making money off of this, not even saying I have tried it, but it may be worth looking into

Check this out on AMZN:

HitLights RGB Color Changing LED Flexible Ribbon Extension Strip, SMD5050, 16.4 Ft, 12V 36W, 150 LEDs, 3M Tape on Back 24 Key Remote (No Power Supply)

I was actually looking into doing this same thing. Didn't realize it would be so cheap. I just need to plan out where I would route them around.
