So I ended up getting an actual PCB riser card. I used one previously from this company and it work just fine so I have high hopes for this new one. It should arrive on Friday.
As far as the power cord goes, I think I will just have an outlet on the case where I can plug in a standard PC cable to it. I'm already going to have a separate mouse and keyboard, a power cable is not that much more to carry.
This weekend will be a big update. Parts are arriving from all over. I'll post some pictures tonight.
Plans this weekend in no particular order:
Cut hole for the radiator fan.
Cut hole for the PSU fan.
Mount the motherboard tray.
Cut holes for the graphics card exhaust.
Mount the motherboard and graphics card.
Enclose the monitor PCB in a small project box.
Mount the PSU and the HDDs.
Mount the Radiator.
Plan out the case wiring.
Measure the monitor clearances.
It;s going to be a long weekend.
