Open Box P5W DH Deluxe for 170
New P5W DH Deluxe
Gigabyte DS3
eVGA 680i for 270
ASUS 680i for 300

My question to all of you: Is spending nearly twice or 50+% more for the new 680i motherboards worthwhile?

There's a benchmark or a test somewhere....965 and 975 will pwn the 680i ANYTIME EXCEPT if you go SLI. That will be the ONLY reason to get a 680i. SLI. Then again I prefer CrossFire. So ultimately, no.

Kind of true, but I have been reading that the 680i can go much higher fsb on stock voltages in comparison to other mobos.

but nevertheless, 100 bucks remains is a factor

Not only that but Intel Core Logic are the best in the business, no matter what it's been proven time to time that they're still 2nd to none when it comes to performance, reliability and overclocking ability.

I'd get a 680i IF I were to go SLI, but otherwise I'll never buy a MoBo with an nForce 4. And I've said it a bunch of times, SLI is not worth it, the next gen card alone is always end up being faster than two high-end cards in SLI from a previous gen and we're talking 6 months difference.

That P5W-DH Deluxe board is the best of all the choices but I'd recommend like everyone else here, the P5B Deluxe Wi-Fi.
