Hey Everyone!

Saurian here. After planning a wc'd build for a while, I thought I'd go ahead and do it. Without further ado, here's a log of all of my progress. I still have to decide to do a table-of-contents style thread or just update the initial post. Anyway, have some initial pictures. Parts should start arriving tomorrow.

CASE HAS ARRIVED (Xigmatek Gigas: Black Edition:

Oh, the tape!

Inside packaging is protective and well-done.

Xigmatek logo goes pretty well with the brushed black aluminum.

A couple shots of the exterior and tidbits.

Gonna have to clean up the outside of the case at the end.

Inside pictures:

Gonna laser cut the top for some fan holes.

Might order some mdpc sleeving for the cables and possibly the 3/8x1/2 in tubing. Also gonna need to make a metal cover for the front circuit.

I've got myself a little helper. He's going to help clean up the packaging..or..rather..ruin it. biggrin.gif

NOTE: I just realized my propensity for using the slang word "gonna."

I apologize in advance for my poor photography skills tongue.gif

I'm back, and if you can read this, the computer is working! I'll be DIVING in to watercooling soon, but I just wanted to make sure everything's stable before proceeding. So far, the computer is working perfectly. It's a 7.7 on the windows experience index b/c of the processor; everything else reads as a 7.9. I kind of want to write a couple letters to some companies to see if they'd sponsor this build or send me a part sample to review thumb.gif

Side note: LOTS OF THUMBS FOR EVERYONE! thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

EVGA GTX 670 FTW Edition. I'm liking it already biggrin.gif

Corsair memory...volatile and nonvolatile I guess

2600k processor! Beastly so far thumb.gif

Standard DVD drive

Corsair PSUs always have such nice packaging

Nice quiet red fans

Lasercut this at the lab today. Not sure if I'll use it..OR...GIVE IT AWAY biggrin.gif

Some nice mobo shots.

Might have to sleeve those little cables and make a cover for the front plate chip. Also, ugly blue usb cable mad.gif

Stock cooler on for now, will put the cpu and gpu underwater soon. Time to find some money or some sponsors thumb.gif
